Tottenham receive their biggest boost yet in pursuit of Yoane Wissa, Newcastle won’t like it
Given that Newcastle United is showing interest in Yoane Wissa, Tottenham may have just received a significant boost in their hunt for a new striker.
Tottenham has made some additions to its roster this summer, including the permanent signings of Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel, as well as the addition of Mohammed Kudus and Kota Takai.
Tottenham is determined to keep up their efforts to strengthen Thomas Frank’s first team, though, as evidenced by their bid for Morgan Gibbs-White, who was supposed to have a medical 24 hours after his release clause was activated but has since been delayed.
Tottenham’s target Yoane Wissa would rather see Thomas Frank again.
According to reports, Tottenham is aware of their next goal for the summer transfer window after a deal for Morgan Gibbs-White is completed.
Spurs are still looking for a center-forward, and this summer they have been connected to a number of strikers, including Yoane Wissa, Dusan Vlahovic, and Evann Guessand.
According to Alex Crook, Newcastle United, a Premier League competitor who is also looking for a new center-forward, is showing interest in Wissa.

Since Liverpool entered the race for the Frankfurt striker, Hugo Ekitike, the Magpies are rumored to have withdrawn from consideration.
Eddie Howe’s team has also considered Yoane Wissa, but according to insiders, he would much rather reunite with Thomas Frank at Tottenham, which would be a huge boost for the Lilywhites.
Spurs might have to shell out a lot of money to acquire Wissa.
Along with Bryan Mbeumo, Ivan Toney, and Ollie Watkins, Thomas Frank has enhanced a number of attacking players during his tenure as Brentford’s manager, including Yoane Wissa.
The 28-year-old attacker had a career-best season last season, playing in 34 Premier League games and scoring 19 goals.
Tottenham may have to make a significant investment if they want to sign Wissa this summer. According to sources, Brentford is expected to seek a fee of around £50 million for its star forward, who has one year remaining on his current contract.
