Workers spotted in Ipswich restaurant ahead of opening.
Workers have been spotted inside an Ipswich restaurant before it opens later this year.
Tradesmen have been seen inside Bread Bowl Bistro Café at 25 St Nicholas Street, which is set to open in late 2025, according to posters. Work on the exterior courtyard is underway, with fresh wooden beams discovered inside the café.
Before opening, the restaurant will have a completely rebuilt kitchen and service, as well as upgraded restrooms and new decorations.

The previous restaurant has been closed since 2024, when The Grill at Twenty5 announced that it would relocate down the street to the former location of K Bar and Grill.
The building’s lease was put up for sale in April and was purchased by Darren and Hannah Alexander. At that point, they commented:
“We are very excited to be taking on this fantastic, listed building, which is in the perfect location.” The menu will include hot and cold options such as full English breakfasts, bagels, baps, cakes, pastries and gourmet bread bowl soups. Bread Bowl Bistro Café’s opening date has not yet been established.
