Sandwich, Deal and Orpington among trains stations to close this weekend for works.
Work on the coast will disrupt services throughout the weekend.
A number of busy Kent train stations will close this weekend for engineering work on the Southeastern network. Passengers should plan ahead of time because such operations will disrupt coastal travel on Saturday (March 28) and Sunday (March 29).
Southeastern has announced that the line between Sandwich and Deal will be closed on Saturday for planned maintenance. On Sunday, the work will be expanded to the lines between Sandwich and Martin Hill.
This means that rail replacement buses will travel between Deal and Ramsgate on Saturday, followed by Dover Priory and Ramsgate on Sunday. Sandwich station will be closed throughout the weekend, while Deal, Walmer, and Martin Hill will only be served by train replacement buses on Sunday.
On Sunday, engineering work is scheduled between Gravesend and Strood, which will close the line between Dartford, Gravesend, Strood and Maidstone West. Rail replacement buses will once again be in service where trains are not running.
Buses will also replace trains on routes through Orpington on Sunday due to work stopping the lines between Petts Wood and Sevenoaks. There will be no trains through Orpington all day.

This Saturday, engineering work will take happening on the Sandwich-Deal queue. On Sunday, these repairs will be extended to include the lines between Sandwich and Martin Mill.
Journeys will be affected as follows:Highspeed via Ashford International: Trains from London St Pancras International to Ramsgate via Dover Priory will only run between London St Pancras International and Deal on Saturday and between London St Pancras International and Dover Priory on Sunday.
