Blackburn Rovers and Charlton Athletic see bids rejected for 24-year-old

Hibernian and Charlton Athletic have both turned down Blackburn Rovers’ offer for Lewis Miller, according to Sky Sports.

The right-back is being pursued by Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers this summer. Rovers are getting ready to play in the Championship again.

Miller, a 24-year-old Hibernian star, has a contract that expires in 2026. He has played for the Scottish Premiership squad in 85 games across all competitions, tallying five goals from the back.

The most recent report on his situation from Sky Sports is that the Edinburgh club has rejected offers of £1 million to buy him from Rovers and the Addicks. They’re waiting for more cash.

After being activated by his present club, his contract at Easter Road was recently extended for a further 12 months. “This decision makes perfect sense,” their head coach at the time, David Gray, stated on their website. Lewis is a very coachable player who has been putting a lot of effort into improving his game, and he has already noticed the results this season.

“His performances for us and on the global stage have shown his development as a player. He is very driven to get better and has a lovely demeanor. We are eager to get on with our trip together.

Callum Brittain of Blackburn Rovers, whose future at Ewood is unknown, may be replaced by Miller. Rovers’ first offer was turned down, so they will now have to pay more.

One of Hibernian’s most valued assets is the 14-cap Australian international. They don’t want to lose him soon for little money.

In Australia, Miller started playing for Manly United, Sydney FC, and North Shore Mariners as a teenager. Before relocating to Scotland, he played 59 games for the Central Coast Mariners, where he established himself in the starting lineup.

What will happen to Blackburn Rovers next?

At Hibernian, Blackburn Rovers must decide whether to go after Miller once more. To acquire him, Rovers will need to spend over £1 million.

Additionally, they could have to decline Charlton Athletic’s offer to sign him. The Addicks, like Birmingham City and Wrexham, have been actively recruiting lately and are back in the second division after being promoted from League One.

On Saturday, August 9, Valerien Ismael’s team will travel to The Hawthorns to play West Brom in the opening game of the upcoming season. They have friendly matches against Everton and Elche planned in the interim.
