Tottenham & Newcastle submit offer for 25-year-old Premier League winner

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United made offers for Ferran Torres, but Barcelona rejected them.

The Premier League clubs have made them two proposals of €50 million, according to Fichajes. The Spanish international will not, however, be sold by Barcelona this summer. He scored 19 goals the previous season and has been a vital member of their team. In addition, the Spaniard managed to provide seven assists. He can play a variety of roles, and Tottenham or Newcastle might find him to be a great addition.

Torres is necessary for Newcastle and Spurs.

Attacking depth is needed by both teams. Richarlison may be leaving Tottenham, just as Son Heung-min has departed the team. However, Dominic Solanke has struggled to score goals on a regular basis. To sign another attacker would be a smart move.

In the meanwhile, Newcastle’s attacking unit needs additional depth. They need more choices available to them because Alexander Isak is adamant about leaving the club. Both centrally and in vast regions, the Barcelona attacker may find a place. He might be Newcastle’s perfect addition.

Ferran Torres might have an immediate effect.

It would be intriguing to see if Tottenham or Newcastle can entice the 25-year-old, who has Premier League football experience from his spell at Manchester City, to return to English sport. His ability to succeed in England is undeniable, and he might be able to get regular football by joining teams like Tottenham or Newcastle. In the 2020–21 season, he and Manchester City won the league title.

Barcelona, meanwhile, needs a deeper and higher-caliber group if they are to contend for major championships the next season. They need to replace the dynamic Spanish attacker before they can afford to sell him. The transfer is unlikely to be completed anytime soon.
