RHYS Norrington-Davies has joined QPR on a season-long loan from Sheffield United.
Norrington-Davies, a left-back, joined the Blades when he was 18. In his early career, he had loan spells with Barrow and Rochdale.
Meanwhile, in 2020/21, he was loaned out to both Luton Town and Stoke City, appearing in 38 Championship games for both clubs.
The 26-year-old played 17 games for Sheffield United last season and is eager to establish himself as a regular with the R’s. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to play for QPR,” he said after completing the transfer.
“For me personally, I’m coming in here to play football.” Norrington-Davies, who has represented Wales 13 times, describes himself as a player as follows: “I’d like to say I’m on the front foot, aggressive in nature, whether defensively or attacking.
So now I’m excited to get out there and show the fans what I can do.” Norrington-Davies, who also played in the Premier League for the Blades in 2023/24, joins a young Rangers squad in which he has high hopes, saying: “The potential is there, and there are some good names in the squad.
“It takes time for the whole squad to gel and it’s still early days.
“Hopefully over the coming weeks and months, there’ll be some positive performances and positive results.”
Norrington-Davies was an unused substitute for the Blades’ match against Millwall on Saturday afternoon and is eager to begin his QPR career, saying: “I’m fit, 100% ready to go for Charlton.”
