Sheffield Public Notices: Council to ban vehicles driving by primary school during peak times.
A new regulation prohibits cars from driving or waiting outside a primary school during peak drop-off and pick-up times.
Sheffield City Council has accepted the temporary order, which affects parts of Doe Royd Drive, Doe Royd Lane, Meynell Crescent, and Meynell Road near Meynell Primary School in Southey Green.
It means that from October 13, no vehicles will be permitted to drive or park on these streets between the hours of 8.15am – 9am and 2.45pm – 3.30pm, Monday through Friday.
Exceptions include private rental vehicles, disabled persons’ vehicles, and ‘contractual vehicles’ such as buses or taxis chartered by the council or school.
