Bexley named least popular borough for London movers.
According to new research from Compare My Move, Bexley is the least popular borough in south east London for people looking to move home.
An analysis of almost 28,000 movements to the capital in 2025 revealed that Bexley received only 2.5 percent of relocations.
Despite offering comparatively reasonable properties, with an average price of £556,167 and a monthly rent of £1,530, the outer London borough falls behind its south-east neighbours.
Southwark, the leading borough for movers in south east London, ranks fourth overall in London.
Other popular SE boroughs include Lewisham (£525,875), Greenwich (£551,873), and Bromley (£555,764), which all benefit from improved transit, local amenities, and closeness to central London.
Wandsworth is the most popular borough in London for the second year in a row, accounting for 5.4 percent of all moves in 2025, despite a 5.3% year-on-year fall.
Tower Hamlets and Brent are in second and third place, with Brent experiencing the most gain among the top ten boroughs.
The City of London is the least popular borough, accounting for only 0.7% of all relocations.
The study reveals a broader trend: more expensive central districts are witnessing a slight fall in movers, while slightly cheaper outer boroughs like Croydon and Bromley are increasing in popularity.
