Ante Crnac replaces Borja Sainz on Carrow Road billboard.
A new main man has been featured on a massive billboard on Carrow Road. Many observant fans who watched Norwich City defeat NAC Breda 2-0 will have noticed that Borja Sainz’s name was still emblazoned on the side of the stadium.
Sainz joined Portuguese club Porto for a record fee after leaving the Canaries last month.
Ante Crnac has replaced Borja Sainz as the new poster boy for Carrow Road.
(Image by Newsquest) A Norwich City spokesman confirmed on Monday that the poster would be taken down before Saturday’s Championship opener against Millwall.
The work to remove Sainz’s image began on Tuesday, and his successor has already been elected.
The Canaries have chosen Ante Crnac, a 21-year-old forward, to replace the Spaniard on the billboard.
The Croatian scored seven goals in 38 league appearances last season.
