Swansea City ratings as full-back shines in win over Sheffield United.
Here’s how the players fared during their victory over the Blades.
Swansea City defeated Sheffield United 1-0 at the Stadium, giving them their first win of the new Championship season.
Ronald’s goal midway through the second half secured Alan Sheehan’s team’s victory.
Didn’t actually make a save, but was quite tidy when called upon. There’s so much energy on the right hand side.
I also did well defensively, making some key clearances. Frequently in and around some of Swansea’s happiest moments.
Ben Cabango (c) 8
Strong in tackling. I also made some very good interceptions. All day, bombs were dropped up and down the left side.
Another superb performance. Gonçalo Franco 7 Battled well in the middle of the park, but it wasn’t his most impactful game. Malick Yalcouye 7. Some very promising moments, including an early blocked shot.
However, he was also caught in possession on several occasions. A solid debut, with hopefully more to come. Ronald 8 Should have scored in the first half, but made some good crosses and took his goal well.
Overall, a very good outing. Ethan Galbraith 7 He kept possession reasonably well and linked up nicely with his teammates in the final third. Good even when not in possession.
Jisung Eom 7. Very good in the build-up, but sometimes struggled to find a decisive outcome in the final third.
Liam Cullen 7 Isolated for much of the first half, but contributed to the goal and grew into the game very well. Typically tireless. Subbed.
Subs: Melker Widell (on for Yalcouye 62) – Should have scored a second for his side late on, but did well – 6 Zeidane Inoussa (on for Eom 62) played a key role in the goal.
A very good cameo – 7. Jay Fulton (on for Ronald 90): N/A. Bobby Wales (on for Cullen 90+7): N/A.
