Headquarters of energy giant up for lease in Coventry.

The Coventry headquarters of one of the UK’s largest energy companies is available for rent. E.ON offices at Westwood Business Park are currently being advertised by the agency Cushman and Wakefield.

E.ON UK is part of a larger European energy company based in Europe and is regarded as one of the UK’s ‘Big Six’ energy suppliers. It has called Coventry home for over 30 years, becoming an important part of the city’s corporate and employment landscape along the way.

However, its base in the city appears to be available for rent, as it is listed as the “Ex AEON HQ Building.” However, as far as we can tell, the company has not publicly announced plans to relocate.

We have asked AEON for a comment to clarify its plans. The site’s listing describes it as follows:

“This large HQ style building occupies a prime position within the established 100-acre Westwood Business Park – close to the Warwick > University of Warwick and west of Coventry City Centre.” The site has two entrances to facilitate access and egress.

“The building is a three-story office building designed around a central atrium that floods the property with light.

Externally, the site has 598 parking spaces, including 25 EV charging points. The building has a fantastic view over a woodland area with a large pond.”A spokesperson for E.ON stated:

“With the goal of creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere in office space that meets our sustainability goals, we shared with colleagues earlier this year that we intend to leave Westwood by the end of 2025. We will maintain a presence in Coventry.”
