Officer seriously injured as police car overturns.

A police officer was seriously injured when their car flipped onto its roof during a collision with another vehicle.

It occurred just before 19:00 BST on Monday on Northern Approach Road in Colchester.

Essex Police said the officer was responding to an emergency when the vehicle overturned.

They were transported to the hospital with a severe collarbone injury. Witnesses are urged to come forward with any information or dashcam footage.
