Overnight blaze tackled by 75 firefighters.

Over 70 firemen responded to a fire overnight at a West Midlands business unit. Fourteen fire engines went to the blaze on West Works Way in Longbridge, Birmingham, after personnel were notified at approximately 22:35 BST on Wednesday.

The West Midlands Fire Service reported no casualties or injuries, and officials had made “good progress” in extinguishing the flames.

The fire was fought by 75 firemen at its peak, although operations were drastically reduced on Thursday morning.

According to the fire service, three fire engines stayed at the steel-frame and metal-sheeting building while personnel continued to dampen any hotspots.
