Firefighters have been battling a big fire in Leicester, and residents have been warned to avoid the area.
Firefighters were dispatched to Gough Road in North Evington shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 9.
The Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service later stated that the fire occurred in a “commercial property”. Residents have been asked to keep their windows and doors closed owing to the smoke coming from the fire.
According to the fire department, everyone on the site has been accounted for, and the ambulance service has not been called.
There were no casualties. The fire service reported that police officers are on the spot.
It added: “Several of our crews are currently responding to a fire at a commercial property on Gough Road in North Evington, Leicester.”
“Please avoid this location. Local residents should close their doors and windows.
