Hunt for fire starter after deliberately-started house blaze in Inverness.

On Sunday night, a ‘wilful’ fire broke out in the city’s South Kessock district.

Police are looking for persons who sparked what appears to be a planned fire in Inverness. It broke out at a property on Kessock Avenue in the city at around 11.40 p.m. on Sunday.

Officers have stated that it is being viewed as “wilful” and have asked for help to identify those responsible.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and there have been no reports of injuries. Police said that an investigation into the incident in South Kessock is ongoing.

Fire was a ‘reckless act’

Detective Constable Ryan Slaney stated: “Fortunately, no one was wounded as a result of this reckless act.

“I am asking anyone with information that could help to contact us. “Additionally, if anyone has any private CCTV or dashcam footage which could assist, please get in touch.”
