Hunt for attacker after teenage girl is sexually assaulted on Hartlepool bus.
Police have released a description of a man they want to find after a teenage girl was sexually abused on a bus.
The incident occurred after the adolescent boarded the number 3 or 3A route at Hartlepool’s Jesmond Gardens.
According to the force, a man shifted from his seat to the one next to her after she sat down. He spoke with the girl before touching her improperly.

“This led to the girl getting off the bus on Easington Road before her intended stop.” The event occurred about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, with police complimenting her fortitude for reporting them more than a year later.
A representative for Hartlepool Police stated, “Understandably, this has been a distressing incident for the girl.” “It occurred five minutes after she got on to the bus and she quickly left the bus two stops after.”
As part of our investigation, we are asking members of the public to recollect last July and if they were on the bus and saw a man acting improperly.
“Unfortunately we are unable to gain footage from the bus.” The man is described as white, in his mid to late 50s, of pudgy build, with short, straight, black greying hair, a brown beard with grey streaks, and was dressed in a light green T-shirt with a logo on the breast, black shorts, and white trainers.
