Hibs named Premiership title contender as Hearts joined by ‘underrated’ rival in dream four-way fight.

One pundit has claimed that Hibs mix it with Hearts, Rangers, and Celtic. Hibs have been tipped as a dark horse in the Premiership title race, while one commentator believes Hearts and David Gray’s side may challenge Old Firm dominance.

There has been a lot of talk this season about the Jambos making a bid to bring the top flight trophy outside of Glasgow for the first time since the 1980s.

They lead the standings by seven points heading into a demanding winter schedule, although Hibs have also started the season well.

After a third place finish last term, a 3-0 win at St Mirren before the international break cemented Gray’s men in that position, behind Celtic and their city rivals.

Pat Nevin has been watching over the Premiership and reckons Hibs are flying under the radar, currently ahead of Rangers. He reckons both sides of Edinburgh can make a fist for the top prize.
