Update on the murder inquiry in Norwich
More time has been given to police to interrogate a man detained in Norwich on suspicion of murder.
After a man in his 30s died at a Somerleyton Street property yesterday morning (Saturday, November 22, 2025), the man in his 20s was taken into custody. Detectives have been given till this evening (Sunday, November 23) to continue their investigation after he was brought to the Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. To determine how the person died, a post mortem examination by the Home Office will be conducted today.
At this point, it is thought to be an isolated occurrence with no greater risk to the local population, but a police cordon is still in place while officers investigate the incident’s complete circumstances.
