Works begins on luxury care home at former Broughty Ferry Cambustay Hotel site.

The nineteenth-century landmark was dismantled in 2022.

Work has begun on a multi-million pound care home development on the former Cambustay Hotel site in Broughty Ferry.

In 2021, Dundee City Council approved the Meallmore care group’s plans build a 54-bed nursing home that will specialise in dementia care.

It was planned for the site of the 19th-century hotel on Dalhousie Road, which had closed the previous year after more than a century in operation.
