According to the Star, Sheffield Wednesday is thinking of making a double loan move for Harry Amass and Toby Collyer, two highly regarded Manchester United players.
With employees and players still unpaid in July, Sheffield Wednesday is in yet another problem. The club’s season opener against Leicester City is scheduled to spark protests, which will put more pressure on SWFC owner Dejphon Chansiri to sell.
The 2025–2026 campaign preparations have been pushed off course. The squad has been reduced to the bare minimum after a string of departures; Henrik Pedersen may only have 16 senior players left, with academy prospects in the wings.

The two, who were part of Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United team last season, might be very helpful to SWFC. It might be challenging to finish the transactions on Wednesday, though.
The task that Sheffield Wednesday faces
Sadly, it looks like Sheffield Wednesday’s season under Chansiri’s leadership is going poorly. It is tough to see much positive around them at the moment unless something is done to remedy that problem.
Nevertheless, there is hope, and players like Barry Bannan clearly see something positive in the community. They will have a chance to live if they can bring in more bodies before the end of August.
The players will need as much support from the fans as possible. Hopefully, SWFC will have a spectacular season and that faith will be repaid.
