Northfield deputy head warns parents over ‘graphic and violent’ video being shared at academy.

Parents have been asked to monitor their children’s phone activities after a “graphic and violent” film was shared among Northfield Academy students.
The request was made in a letter addressed to all parents this morning, which notes that the Aberdeen school is taking the situation “very seriously.”
It is currently unknown what the video is about.
However, Francesca Adair, Deputy Head Teacher, confirmed that it portrayed a “extremist incident.”
The visuals were also referred to as “graphic and violent.”
All parents are now being advised to monitor their children’s phone use for any inappropriate information.
She also made it clear that the incident in the video had nothing to do with Northfield Academy.

The letter issued to parents was obtained by The Press and Journal.
It reads: “We would like to advise you that a graphic and violent film depicting an extremist incident has been circulated among students in S1, S2, and S3.
We want to assure you that this video has no link to any Northfield Academy student.
“This issue is being treated extremely seriously.
“We wish to safeguard the safety and well-being of all kids.
“We sincerely request that you be alert and watch your child’s phone and online activity.”Please evaluate any inaccurate information or documents that may have been distributed.
“We also recommend that you discuss with your child the necessity of not sharing or forwarding such content in group conversations or online platforms, as it can have major emotional and social effects.
“Thank you for your support and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and respectful school environment.”
